My New Years Resolution

Thanks Mom.

I know an individual who excelled in the ability to make people feel good about themselves.
"What thoughts go through your mind when you meet someone new?" I asked him.
"I always mentally bless people with success in what is important to them," was the reply.

When you wish people success in your mind, you radiate positive energy. Even though
others don’t know exactly what you are thinking, they pick up positive energy.

As King Solomon wrote "As water reflects a face back to face, so one’s heart is reflected
back to him by another." When your heart and mind generate positive energy, others feel
good about themselves and good about you.

All too many people think critical or negative thoughts about others. This is noticeable
in the look in their eyes and their entire facial expression.
With very critical people,
the victims can feel very uncomfortable. How can these people
change? They can begin by
seeing the good in others and blessing them in their minds.
Bless people in your mind
whether they are people you know or people you are seeing for the
first time. Whether
they are people you especially like or you don’t for whatever reason.

Whenever you see that someone has a troubled, worried, or sad look on his face,

bless him in your mind. Wish him healing. Wish him solutions. Wish him joy.

Some of the thoughts you can think are:

"I wish this person much happiness."

"I wish this couple marital harmony and unity."

"I wish this person financial success."

(Upon seeing a person who is angry:) "I wish this person inner peace."

"I wish this person a healthy child."

"I wish this student success in his studies."

When one’s mind is full of blessings for others, the very first to benefit from those
blessings is the one radiating those good wishes.

Consider this story, which I heard
from one of my students:

An intuitive person with a sharp eye who used to be super critical shared with me,
"I used to view people negatively. If someone had a fault, that’s all I saw.
And who
doesn’t have faults. I emitted a subtle message to people that they were
unworthy and
of less value than myself. I would get feedback that people tended to feel
uncomfortable
in my presence.
"Long ago a friend told me, ‘Bless people in your mind.’ This went in
one ear and
out the other. But recently I heard someone say this again. For some reason
I was more
receptive to try it. I can attest that this is a powerful practice. I now
recommend
this to everyone I can. Again and again I hear from people that they enjoy
my company.
I had never heard this before I started mentally blessing people."

Dr. Emoto's Message

Dr. Emoto's Site

"...The birth of the earth is said to be four thousand six hundred million years (4,600,000,000 years) ago, and the birth of human beings is said to be four million years (4,000,000 years) ago. Therefore, if we suppose the history of the earth is one year, the birth of human beings would be sometime on Dec 31st. Looking at the world in this way, we can say that the age of human beings is still very, very young. We are all still infants in the history of the earth.

Let's now suppose that the four million years of human history is just one year, and think about where the position of 20th century is contained in that one year? Everyone would agree that we had an amazingly huge improvement in our scientific civilization during the last 100 years. But actually, it was only a 3% improvement because we have still only activated 3% of our DNA. This means we currently only use 3% of what the creator created in us. You might wonder why human beings are still at this 3% level, even though we have already had four million years of history, but we really should not complain about this. I think we should rather show our gratitude to those ancient people who worked very hard for human beings to survive and advance. I know there have been a lot of fearful things and sacrifices in the past, but when we think about how our life is now convenient when compared with the past, you can understand what I am trying to say. So let's give our gratitude to all of the capitalists, scientists, and politicians. In other words, let's affirm everything. With that in our mind, human beings must now begin on a journey to discover the rest of the 97% of DNA and information. In this 21st century we need to work to further build our culture, art and knowledge on shoulders of the foundation already laid down by our many advances in technology and science.

This new journey will be very exiting, full of fun, and the true charm of mankind can now begin to emerge. As I said before, the keywords here are Hado (spirit, prayer) and water. ...

Let’s unite through our collective works, and work together to create a peaceful world with no wars for future generations. Please also ask your friends to join with us too.

With love and thanks,

Masaru Emoto

The Donut Universe

The universe really is a donut!

The 'big bang' theory has always seemed a bit of a hack if you ask me, and when I came across this fascinating description of mathematical repetition, well, it all just fit. Sunflowers do it, seashells do it, atoms do it, and crop circles do it!! The 'singularity' or rapture of being completely inside the center of the universe may be a long, long ways off (were probably just turning the outside edge and getting a glimpse of the center), but at least we can acknowledge the exquisite beauty and delicious fullness that lies at the center of that great cosmic donut!!

The Rodin Coil Vortex-Based Mathematics Toroid Surface Topology

"The Rodin Coil is a blueprint, or schematic of the universe, that enables anything to be engineered. By using the schematic of a Rodin Coil (partially illustrated above), one can know the pathways and motion everything takes – past, present and future – from the quantum level up to solar systems and galaxies. Simply put, Rodin has discovered the underpinning geometry of the universe. He has found the missing energy behind the continuous creation and recreation of the universe. Scientists refer to this missing energy as "dark matter" or "dark energy" because they have so far been unable to account for it."

"Crude versions of the Rodin Coil, created and tested by leading scientists and engineers, show 60% more efficiency than anything presently used in antennas, computer research, or life-saving medical devices."

The Fisherman and the Tourist

The Fisherman and the Tourist

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.
"Not very long," answered the Mexican.
"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.
The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, play the guitar, and sing a few songs...
I have a full life."
The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard, and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?" asked the Mexican.
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my Friend, That's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" said the Mexican.
"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings doing what you like and enjoying your friends."

And the moral is:

Know where you're going in life...you may already be there…

The Cracked Egg Theory

Radical geological theorist Neal Adams shares his rebuttal of 'Pangea' theory with something much, much more wonderful and inspiring... the ever-expanding Earth (and universe)

A MUST SEE!

"We further argue that if you were to shrink the sphere of Earth... by letting the oceanic plate re-enter the rifts they erupted from, over time... the continental crust would easily and completely fit back together, and this solution satisfies all questions of tectonics, science, geology, paleontology, theoretical and practical physics, cosmology, and subatomic physics. Pretty simple actually."

How to be Creative

From GapingVoid: How to be creative
2. (of 31) The idea doesn't have to be big. It just has to change the world.

The two are not the same thing.
We all spend a lot of time being impressed by folk we've never met. Somebody featured in the media who's got a big company, a big product, a big movie, a big bestseller. Whatever.

And we spend even more time trying unsuccessfully to keep up with them. Trying to start up our own companies, our own products, our own film projects, books and whatnot.

I'm as guilty as anyone. I tried lots of different things over the years, trying desperately to pry my career out of the jaws of mediocrity. Some to do with business, some to do with art etc.

One evening, after one false start too many, I just gave up. Sitting at a bar, feeling a bit burned out by work and life in general, I just started drawing on the back of business cards for no reason. I didn't really need a reason. I just did it because it was there, because it amused me in a kind of random, arbitrary way.

Of course it was stupid. Of course it was uncommercial. Of course it wasn't going to go anywhere. Of course it was a complete and utter waste of time. But in retrospect, it was this built-in futility that gave it its edge. Because it was the exact opposite of all the "Big Plans" my peers and I were used to making. It was so liberating not to have to be thinking about all that, for a change.

It was so liberating to be doing something that didn't have to impress anybody, for a change.

It was so liberating to have something that belonged just to me and no one else, for a change.

It was so liberating to feel complete sovereignty, for a change. To feel complete freedom, for a change.

And of course, it was then, and only then, that the outside world started paying attention.

The sovereignty you have over your work will inspire far more people than the actual content ever will. How your own sovereignty inspires other people to find their own sovereignty, their own sense of freedom and possibility, will change the world far more than the the work's objective merits ever will.

Your idea doesn't have to be big. It just has to be yours alone. The more the idea is yours alone, the more freedom you have to do something really amazing.

The more amazing, the more people will click with your idea. The more people click with your idea, the more it will change the world.

That's what doodling on business cards taught me.
